Hi ALL!
Yesterday's meeting was very much in tune of Singapore's National Day (tomorrow 9Aug). We had a quiz on Singapore's history and culture...questions asked were: Singapore has the most number of people wearing____________
Ans: Spectacles..
HA! Didn't know right?
After that, we got to learn new words to describe one thing which we all do....EAT.
"Lip smacking good", "savoury", "bland"
So, since we were on the topic of food, we brought our own national foods!
There were nonya kueh (ondeh ondeh, durian cake, ang ku kueh), chee kueh (rice cakes with radish), goreng pisang (fried banana fritters), chendol, and many more!
Actually, we were all supposed to describe the food that we eat, but, somehow or rather, we all got caught up in eating them!!! hahah..it was fun!
So next week, same time same place. (Student care services' meeting room)
