3rd July Meeting- advertising weird stuff taken out of the bag
HEY GUYS! Yesterday's meeting was fun I must say. There were many new comers...for the first time in IFG!!! 11 new friends were made, and most were females.HA! What happened to the guys! We had people from Malaysia, Mynamar, China, Vietnam, and Singapore...(which is us)
We did some getting to know each other ice breakers: arranging ourselves according to the number of countries we've visited, and also the period of time spent in Singapore. No prizes for guessing who have been here the longest. (Winston-26years..so now you all know his age..ahAHAHA)
Going on from there, we had the second part of the programme which was: All of us formed groups, and we had to sell and advertise things (dugged out from Evelyn's-our faciliator's house). They were very RANDOM things (a hole puncher, ladle stand, "anything" softdrink can, some spray...
Regardless of the "random-ness" of the stuff that we had to advertise, everyone clearly enjoyed themselves. The funniest I must say was from group 2. They advertised a deorderant spray. Thura, from Mynamar did a good job in creating excitement in the act. I do not remember clearly what he did, but, he did stir up laughter from us:)
Group 1 tried to sell a red hole puncher. Their pitch: Made in Germany! I'm sold!(even though it isn't really being used in my house)
Group 3 did an advertisement for a ladle stand. Pitch: For convinence's sake, you can buy the stand from the IFG supermarket . HAHA..??When did we have one????
Group 4: sold "anything" ! Anything that you didn't think "anything" could do, well, it does....
PS: If you feel that you've missed the fun we had yesterday, well, don't miss us next tuesday...
If you are unable to every tuesday, don't miss our up and coming event on the 21st. *hint*it'll be in chinatown
