17th April meeting- EXAM secrets revealed!!

hi everyone! We had Evelyn back as our faciliator for the recent meeting. oh!We had Zhou qing with us on tuesday(she's Connie and Liu Xing's housemate).
All of us shared our individual exam tips...haha. We now realised everyone was very humble cos all said they were not A scorers(*Ahem*as if ...we had a few in our midst), but all were willing to share their own secrets:)

In brief, all of us felt that we needed a good working environment, even before getting started with our revision; somewhere not too cold would do fine-i believe our school's library wouldn't be the best if you're planning to study long hours..haha. Secondly, like what Zhou qing mentioned, good results start from the beginning; she shared with us that listening to lectures do help when you are revising for exams. *phew...our hats out to her..anyway, how many of us are caught dozing off or daydreaming in class? Fiona commented that she records down revision lectures, and hears them again before entering the exam hall. Yik Yee said that he would write down notes for himself, then he would use his superb memory to memorise the whole thing. So, during exams, whatever he memorises is according to the pages of his notes. He would then "turn to the right page" in his mind and answer accordingly to the question. ..hmm..pretty interesting right?

Towards the end, we discussed about 2 different learning styles. Some of us are very visual, while some others are pretty much more auditory. Those who are visual benefit from studying alone in a quiet room, while those who more audio learn more from discussing with friends. Check this website out to see what style you incline to: http://www.metamath.com/lsweb/fourls.htm#av . After getting to know yourself better, maybe you can adopt the strategies listed.

Too bad, not every secret can be revealed here. You have to come to find out more for yourself!
See ya around...
